CARE  is a not for profit agency staffed by dedicated volunteers from the Northeast.  Our volunteers range from foster families to office workers, from those behind the scenes to those willing to dedicate time presenting in the community.   We are not paid nor do we seek compensation for our  time and efforts.  We simply want to help people and parrots alike.   We do this by offering different  programs, online resources and parrot rescue and adoption.  For more information please follow the links above.

We are currently accepting volunteers and donated parrots in CT, RI, MA and NY at this time.  We realize the decision to place your parrot is often an emotional one.  We are here to make this transition the best it can possibly be.  We provide individual families as fosters to continue the level of care and companionship your parrot is accustomed to.  CARE takes this time to assess your birds personality while completing home studies of applicants to find the most appropriate matched family for your parrot.

Our Mission is to improve the lives of parrots in captivity and their keepers by providing public outreach and educational, online resources and community presentations. CARE strives to educate young persons on the importance of species conservation.
